Today we would like to introduce you to Brittany Judge, a Regional Team Leader at Jobedge, an individual driven by her deep passion for helping people overcome employment barriers. Originally from Bathurst, NSW, Brittany has lived in three states, gaining valuable perspectives on both life and work. She now lives with her partner and two cats, balancing her professional role with hobbies like baking, reading, and exploring new places. 

Brittany’s career path in Disability Employment Services (DES) began with two years of hands-on experience supporting individuals with diverse needs. This role ignited her passion for helping others to overcome their employment challenges. She finds it incredibly fulfilling to see individuals achieve independence and meaningful careers, which also became a reason for her to pursue a long-term career in this field. 

Since joining Jobedge in January this year, Brittany’s role as Regional Team Leader has allowed her to expand her skills and help individuals not only secure employment but thrive in it. 

No two days are the same for Brittany at Jobedge. Her day might include one-on-one meetings with participants, providing support, or collaborating with her team on improving services. She loves the fast-paced nature of her role. Whether on the road meeting participants or brainstorming with her team, Brittany is always focused on making a positive impact. 

Brittany’s leadership style is empathetic and collaborative, and her team values her dedication. As a leader she focuses on clear communication, setting expectations, and fostering collaboration, where everyone feels heard and empowered. For her participants, she proactively identifies their needs and provides tailored support for their success. Her role has deepened her commitment to supporting both her team and participants effectively.  

For Brittany, the most rewarding aspect of her job is seeing the participants grow and succeed. “It’s incredible to see someone progress and know I played a part in that transformation,” she shares. Every success is a testament to the hard work of both the participant and the team. 

Brittany’s advice for those considering a career in Disability Employment Services is simple: “Approach the field with empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference.” She believes that while the work can be challenging, the rewards are immense for those committed to helping others.
