Meet Francy: Jobedge’s Employer Engagement Consultant connecting participants to their future

Here at Jobedge, we want to celebrate the amazing work our team members are doing by giving them the spotlight. 

We would like to introduce you to Francy Apoefis, our Employer Engagement Consultant at Jobedge! Francy is a proud mother of 3 boys, a dog and a cat. When she’s not at Jobedge, Francy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, entertaining, and boxing. 

She has previously worked at the Royal Adelaide Hospital for twenty years in catering and the burns unit as a ward attendant, and in aged care and disability support as a support worker. Currently, Francy is based within disability employment services here at Jobedge, and sees this career as an opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives, “For me it’s not just about the job- it’s a way to help people with disability gain independence in their lives and feel part of their community.” 

As an Employer Engagement Consultant, Francy is responsible for meeting with participants to help them prepare for employment. Her daily activities may include helping participants work through challenging situations, building resumes, preparing for interviews and contacting businesses with job advertisements. Francy also works with employers to connect them with suitable participants. This involves reverse-marketing participants for roles, determining job requirements, advertising for applicants, and considering experience, education and personal attributes. 

Francy’s team describes her as energetic and driven. She loves meeting and supporting people from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences and collaborating with Jobedge team members to achieve the best results for the participants. 

Francy shared her thoughts on working with Jobedge,

“I feel that Jobedge has a great support system, and we have the same end goal! Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.”
